bookwyrmNarrowly missed buying a bed today. Filene's was having a pretty nice sale-- discount on the mattress (plus an extra 10% off coupon), free box spring, free delivery, free mattress removal, and free frame, but I got declined for the payment plan (which is actually a credit card at something like 22% interest) and apparently I can't make an $800 charge with my check card, even if there is enough money in the bank to cover it. So I'll save up, wait for the sale to come around again, and go back with a checkbook.
I did, however, buy the HUGEST CAT LITTER BOX IN EXISTENCE for Vanyel. Boy, was it fun hauling that around on the bus. I swear it could house a family of three. One person commented "nice helmet"-- it's one of these things here.
I was going to wait until Van got bigger, but he's started flinging litter so I had to get something covered. And if he grows into the 25-pound behemoth he's supposed to be, I'll want something big. (Yup, someday he'll weigh as much as that sack of cat litter I dragged home. Woo.)
