Of Stomach Flu and Winter Boots
Feb. 20th, 2004 12:22 amSo I got to experience stomach flu for the first time ever. And, hopefully, the last time ever. That was an absolutely miserable experience. It only lasted for about 24 hours (and still counting) but I couldn't even keep water down. I vaguely wonder where the diarrhea came from, since I didn't eat anything for over 24 hours before that. It's kind of sad when you're in the least amount of pain after vomiting up a quart of water.
I've been dealing better with pedialyte, as horrendous as it tastes, and a friend brought me a banana smoothie which tasted really good and which I mostly managed to retain. So I think I'm on the mend. I've been told to attempt a BRaT diet, or bananas, rice, and toast, so I ordered some fried rice, which is tasty, but not making my stomach too happy with me. I think I'll revert to pedialyte and hope I'll make a bunch of progress while I sleep. So thirsty, but I can't drink too much at one time.
On a more positive note, my boots sold! So that's the lot. I'll drop them off at the post office on my way to Mansfield. If I can make it to Mansfield. Ugh.
